inner child

What parts of ourselves need love, protection, or healing from us now? Neuroscience shows that early emotional trauma physically alters brain development, but intentional self-reparenting can rewire these neural pathways to improve emotional regulation. This workshop invited participants to reconnect with their younger selves to explore deep-rooted emotions, triggers, and behavioral patterns stored within the ‘inner child’. Through meditation, reflective journaling, and an expressive art-making practice, participants explored childhood experiences, emotions, fears, joys, and unmet needs in a safe space. By actively comforting, nurturing, and caring for the child within, participants learned to consciously soothe their nervous system, breaking destructive coping mechanisms and cultivating lasting emotional resilience in adulthood.
